Who is Ms. Ledina?
My name is Pia Ledina, and I have been a Library Media Specialist for nearly 15 years... but that's not all there is to my story.

I served in many other fields and positions before I became a school librarian. After graduating with a B.S. in Communications from Cornell, I worked in major league baseball (Go Braves!), in human resources for a CNN, as a marketing manager and project development producer in advertising and website development... but after all of these amazing experiences, I knew it was time to do what I always wanted to do.
I went back to school as I expanded my family, and earned my Masters of Library Science and Teaching Certification in School Media from Southern Connecticut State University.
For about four and a half years, I also owned and managed a mostly-children's indie bookshop called Turning The Page... but I found that I'd much rather hand book-after-book to kids than make them purchase them, so I'm thrilled to be back in Greenwich Public Schools as the Library Media Specialist at Western Middle School and the Learning Facilitator for Media 6-8. It's clear to me that being a Library Media Specialist is my absolute favorite profession, because kids who are curious and want/need to talk about books are simply the best!
On this site (and via our social feeds), let me help you discover books you want (and books you didn't know you need)! And oh - if you're "not a reader" just yet, don't worry, I've got your back!
